Soudah Peaks Tahlal Centre Master Plan

SoudahPeaks will be a luxury mountain tourism destination developed by SoudahDevelopment, a real estate development company owned by the Public InvestmentFund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia.

CIVITASStudio was commissioned to develop a conceptual development plan, providing aconceptual community vision to guide future Detailed Master Plans for the longterm growth and development of the Tahlal Centre.

CIVITASteam provides practical urban design principles to guide the planning anddesign of each of the main elements of the land use structure and urban designof Tahlal Centre.

The finalProposals features include:

·        Aslight increase in density and population to support retail/amenity program.

·        Areduced retail footprint that matches the Soudah Development program.

·        Arefined retail layout that outlines refined retail mix, strategy and pedestrianexperience.

·        Newcultural amenities to increase the range of destinations, activities andexperiences and ensure activation of streetscapes; Cultural Museum, Museum ofExploration & Innovation, Theatre, Art Gallery.

·        Animproved connectivity and fine grain of block structure.

·        MainAxis Boulevard as a pedestrianized street with limited VIP vehicular arrivalaccess.

·        Animproved North Gateway arrival experience .

·        Anarrowed scale of streets and gathering spaces, improving the human scale.

·        NewGreen Garden in the Central Square to improve the human scale and sense ofenclosure of the square.

·        Increasedthe range of building forms and heights to create visual interest. Addedlandmark tower elements to establishing an identifiable built form image.
