CIVITAS Studio developed the Highpoint Town Centre Master Plan for the major redevelopment of an established shopping mall in the Maribyrnong area of Melbourne.
The plan included:
- A significant addition of residential and office uses, as well as expanded retail (with a placemaking focus) to create a vibrant town centre;
- A diverse range of street and open space experiences including a new Town Square, Town Green and Market Square;
- A new library that engages and activates the Town Green;
- Street and pedestrian linkages that integrate the town centre with the surrounding neighbourhood, and;
- An integrated tram system linking to Melbourne’s CBD.
