CIVITAS, the master planner for the developer of this significant waterfront brown field site in downtown Vancouver, is working together with local government, city stakeholders, Concord Pacific, and the adjacent park designer, Field Operations, to develop a unique destination entertainment district and prestigious waterfront community.

CIVITAS were the Master Planners on this major city centre/waterfront revitalization plan. The Vision Plan celebrates the city’s greatest asset, the riverfront, by ‘restitching’ downtown to the waterfront.

The city of Taixing is located northwest of Shanghai in close proximity to the Yangtze River, in a flat agricultural landscape crossed with canals and natural lakes. In this setting, CIVITAS created a new urban design plan to accommodate a future community with a central commercial district, residential neigbourhoods, and an extensive network of recreation and open spaces.

CIVITAS was involved in the further detailed design development  and public realm landscape design for the Festival Place Tourist Village, as part of the ongoing Master Planning of the Liangzhu New Town.

Vancouver Design Collaborative, with CIVITAS, the lead urban design consultant, won the first prize in an international design competition to transform this existing industrial district into a vibrant residential neighbourhood.

In early 1996, CIVITAS was invited to participate in a design and planning study as a specialist urban design consultant for a major Central Business District brown-field waterfront site.

CIVITAS was the lead Master Planner for this landmark Vancouver waterfront neighbourhood in the heart of the city. The project is located on former industrial lands and has become a highly marketable residential address that also allowed the city to re-connect with its waterfront at the popular Harbour Green Park and Coal Harbour Marina.
