CIVITAS, the master planner for the developer of this significant waterfront brownfield site in downtown Vancouver, is working together with local government, city stakeholders, and the adjacent park designer, Field Operations, to develop a unique destination entertainment district and prestigious waterfront community. The proposed Plan includes:
• The Indie Lanes District--a unique ‘laneway’ shopping area that also functions as the central community heart;
• The Waterfront District with a distinctive esplanade that will be activated with a Marina, Iconic Restaurants, a Promenade and access to False Creek; and
• Georgia Plaza, with a design inspired by the Italian town of Portofino, terminates Georgia Street and provides a gateway to the new community and seawall.
