CLIENT: Sitrac Corporation Sdn. Bhd.
SITE AREA: 7,000 Acres
AMENITIES: 18-hole Golf Course, Club Facilities, Eco-tourist Facility, Conference & Hotel Facilities
The Janda Baik development plan is a concept for an ecologically-based resort and residential community in a natural rain forest setting. This site, of some 7,000 acres, will be preserved in its majority with only 1,000 acres being developed. The residential will be developed generally at a very low density in order to preserve the forest setting or in very tightly-knit clusters again in a forest setting. The project includes an 18-hole golf course and club facilities in a valley setting which is crossed by several mountain streams. The site is located some 45 minutes from downtown Kuala Lumpur in an elevated mountainous site to the east of the city. It is a sensitive rain forest environment. This factor dictated the design approach to the entire planning of the site. The proposal includes a very unique eco-tourist facility in an isolated rain forest location which would include an international conference and hotel facility.
